1. The automobile water pump is the main component of the automobile cooling system circulation. The engine drives the water pump bearing and the impeller to rotate through the pulley. Then the coolant in the water pump is driven by the impeller to rotate together. Under the action of centrifugal force, it is thrown to the edge of the water pump shell, thus generating a certain pressure, and then flowing out from the water outlet or water pipe. As the coolant is thrown out, the pressure in the center of the impeller is reduced. Under the action of the pressure difference between the inlet of the water pump and the center of the impeller, the cooling liquid in the water tank is sucked into the impeller through the water pipe, so as to realize the reciprocating circulation of the cooling liquid.
2. The purpose of automobile water pump. In the cylinder block of the car engine, there is a water channel for cooling water circulation, which is connected to the radiator (commonly known as the water tank) at the front of the car through a water pipe to form a large water circulation system. A water pump is installed at the water outlet on the upper part of the engine, driven by a fan belt, to pump out the hot water in the water channel of the engine block and pump cold water at the same time. There is also a thermostat next to the water pump. When the car is just started (cold car), the cooling water does not pass through the water tank and only circulates in the engine (commonly known as small circulation). When the engine temperature reaches above 80 degrees, it turns on, the hot water in the engine is pumped into the water tank, and the cold air when the car moves forward blows through the water tank to carry away the heat. Basically that's how it works.
Simply put, the water pump: a power mechanism that circulates the coolant in the car from the engine to the water tank. If the water pump fails, the coolant will not circulate. If the engine is still running and the water temperature is too high, it may cause the engine to crank. This is cumbersome. Therefore, it is best for drivers to develop the habit of looking at the car's dashboard while driving, just as carefully as how much gas is left.
3. The car cooling water pump is faulty - the car water pump makes noise. The noise of the automobile water pump is generally caused by the following two reasons, which are analyzed by the exclusion method as follows:
(1) Whether it is caused by the water seal related components, the key component of the water pump is the bearing, and the faults are mutual. If the structure of the bearing connecting the water pump and the shaft is well designed, there will be no water seal eccentricity, leakage and abnormal noise due to bearing wear (special attention: when the belt is assembled to the pulley after repairing the water), the belt must be in accordance with the instructions for use. Tension assembly, the general car belt tension is 350-550N, this point must be paid attention to, otherwise the engine will be serious after running for a period of time. It is recommended to rotate the bearing by hand to see if there is a stuck phenomenon. If not, it is a problem with the water seal design.
(2) The design of the water seal structure is unreasonable. If so, the structure needs to be improved. In short, the design rotation direction of the improved water seal should be consistent with the rotation direction of the water pump.
